Montauk Has Me Hooked

Opening today, May 1st, Hooked Montauk is offering elevated takeout seafood.  Straight from the dock to your door, owners Brian and Gillian Mooney have got you covered.  With 24 years in at the Clam Bar, Brian knows his way around a lobster roll.

Hooked boasts and open kitchen with counter service, and picnic table outside to enjoy your catch al fresco, or take it to go, and head to your favorite beach or boat.  Start with “baits & lures” featuring seafood chowders, tuna bites, fried calamari, steamed mussels, and peel and eat shrimp.  Salads to choose from include house salad with kale quinoa, cranberries, cojita cheese and orange segments with a cranberry citrus vinaigrette, and a beet and arugula salad with blood orange and shallot vinaigrette.

Kale Salad

If you need that lobster fix, order a lobster roll, vine ripened tomato stuffed with lobster salad, lobster mac & cheese, or a whole steamed lobster (saves you stinking up the house!)  The “locally hooked” section of the menu features grilled tuna, swordfish or mahi mahi, a tuna poke bowl and fish tacos.

Tuna Poke

If you are looking for raw bar items the “locally dug” section offers Montauk pearl oysters, local clams and local steamers.  Classic fried seafood ‘boats’ with options such as fish ‘n’ chips, fried shrimp, fried soft shell crab, fried scallops, fried clams and more.  Finally, the “off the hook” section is your land fare with a burger, BBQ baby back ribs, grilled chicken sandwich and a veggie burger.

Pearl Oysters

Prices range from $6-$25.  Hooked will be open 7 days a week in season, from 11:30-8PM, in the old Red Hook Lobster Pound Space at 34 South Etna Avenue.
